Crusher run is crushed rock that retains the fine particles from the crushing process. Those fines fill the voids between larger stones and lock together under compaction, creating a dense, load-bearing surface. It compacts to 95%+ Proctor density, which is why it is the default for driveways, paths, and structural pads across BC.
