Recycled crushed concrete (RCA) is demolished concrete that has been crushed and screened to produce a graded aggregate. It is lighter than virgin rock, drains well, and self-cements over time as residual calcium activates with moisture. Approved for many municipal base and fill applications in BC, and typically 20–30% cheaper than virgin material.
